About Us
Rajiv Gandhi National Ground Water Training & Research Institute was established during IXth Five Year Plan at Raipur as a training wing of Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources and Government of India is running continuously since 1997.
The Institute created as training wing of Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India in 12th Plan Period is presently a plan scheme of Human Resource Development (HRD)/ Capacity Building.
Rajiv Gandhi National Ground Water Training and Research Institute is envisaged to function as "Centre of Excellence" in training and research in the core and applied field of ground water.
We Strive To
To be an international Centre of Excellence for providing training to ground water professionals and sub- professionals in ground water investigations, development and management techniques.
Involve stakeholders in water management with the thrust on Capacity Building of the Farmers, Panchayat Raj Institutions, NGOs, VOs, Industries etc. and inculcate Participatory Ground Water Management.
Innovations through scientific, technical and socio-economic research for Ground Water Resources Management in Collaboration with reputed National and International Research & Development Institutions & Strengthening of institutional framework to support training & ongoing research.
